Texas High School Baseball - Hardin-Jefferson holds off Longview

Hardin-Jefferson Hawks (Sour Lake, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Longview Lobos (Longview, TX), 9-5 in a non-league test.

With the win, Hardin-Jefferson upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Hawks travel to Liberty (Liberty, TX) to battle the Panthers in a 4A Region III District 20 test on Tuesday, March 14. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 6-8. Liberty lost 11-4 in their recent non-league test against Silsbee (Silsbee, TX)

With the defeat, Longview falls to 4-3 on the season. The Lobos travel to Hallsville (Hallsville, TX) to battle the Bobcats in a 5A Region II District 15 test on Tuesday, March 21. The Bobcats come into the test with a record of 5-5.
