In Saturday's non-league game, the host Pine Tree Pirates baseball team scored a tight 7-5 victory over the Naaman Forest Rangers.
The Pirates (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX). The Wildcats go into the 5A Region II District 15 game with a 12-2 record. In their last game, Whitehouse tipped Mesquite (Mesquite, TX), 6-5, in a non-league game.
The Rangers (4-6) will now prepare for their game against Rowlett (Rowlett, TX). The Eagles go into the 6A Region II District 9 game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Rowlett tipped Sam Houston (Arlington, TX), 5-0, in a non-league game.
