Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Albuquerque Academy Chargers (Albuquerque, NM), 18-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Los Alamos for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 15. Volcano Vista will face a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 8-2 non-league win over Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Albuquerque Academy falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Grants (Grants, NM) to face the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 14. The Pirates enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. Grants lost 22-11 in their recent non-league challenge against Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM)
