The Caldwell Parish Spartans softball team (Columbia, LA), was routed 14-1 in Saturday's non-league test with the host East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA)

Coming up next, the Spartans clash with the Denham Springs Yellowjackets (Denham Springs, LA) in a 5A District 4 test, on Tuesday, March 14. East Ascension will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the test with a 0-2 record after their 9-0 league loss to St. Amant (St. Amant, LA).

The Spartans (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Buckeye (Buckeye, LA). The Panthers come into the 3A District 3 test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Buckeye was routed by St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA), 8-4, in a non-league test.
