In Saturday's non-league contest, the Pike Road Patriots (Pike Road, AL) softball team overwhelmed the host Jefferson Davis Volunteers (Montgomery, AL), by a margin of 9-0.

With the triumph, Pike Road moves its record to 13-7 on the year. The Patriots travel to Opelika (Opelika, AL) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 11. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 5-6. Opelika lost 7-1 in their recent non-league contest against Beauregard (Opelika, AL)

In their next game, the Volunteers play the Dothan Wolves (Dothan, AL) in a 7A Area 3 contest, on Tuesday, March 14. Jefferson Davis will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Wolves come into the contest with a 11-6 record after their 12-2 non-league loss to Rehobeth (Dothan, AL).
