The Lawrence County Wildcats baseball team scored 8 runs and limited the host Ada Cougars to 1 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Monday.
The Wildcats (1-0) will now prepare for their match against St. Michael Catholic (Fairhope, AL). The Cardinals go into the non-league match with a 2-11 record. In their last match, St. Michael Catholic was overwhelmed by St. Luke's Episcopal (Mobile, AL), 9-7, in a non-league match.
The Cougars (0-3) will now prepare for their match against McLoud (McLoud, OK). The Redskins go into the 4A District 5 match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, McLoud was overwhelmed by Bridge Creek (Blanchard, OK), 8-0, in a non-league match.
