The Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC), 13-3 in Monday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Wildcats encounter the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A contest, on Tuesday, March 12. Draughn will attempt to better on its 4-0 season record. The Warhorses come into the contest with a 0-4 record after their 14-2 non-league loss to McDowell (Marion, NC).

The Patriots now sport a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Mitchell for a non-league contest on Thursday, March 14. Freedom will encounter a Mountaineers squad coming off a 15-14 league loss to Madison (Marshall, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 1-3.
