McDowell Titans (Marion, NC) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Titans confront the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, March 13. McDowell will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Patriots enter the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 4-1 non-league win over East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC).

The Cavaliers now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Freedom for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 12. East Burke will confront a Patriots team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 2-2.
