The Amundsen Vikings softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Payton College Prep Grizzlies to 1 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Amundsen improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Vikings host Resurrection (Chicago, IL) to clash with the Bandits in a non-league game on Thursday, March 14. The Bandits come into the game with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Grizzlies clash with the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack (Chicago, IL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 19. Payton College Prep will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
