The Beau Chene Gators softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Lafayette Lions to 2 in the Gators non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Beau Chene moves its record to 8-7 on the year. The Gators travel to Breaux Bridge (Breaux Bridge, LA) to play the Tigers in a 4A District 5 game on Tuesday, March 12. The Tigers come into the game with a record of 1-14. Breaux Bridge lost 14-4 in their recent non-league game against Jennings (Jennings, LA)

In their next game, the Lions play the Carencro Bears (Lafayette, LA) in a 5A District 3 game, on Tuesday, March 12. Lafayette will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record.
