The Jena Giants softball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Claiborne Christian Crusaders to 5 in the Giants non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Jena moves its record to 9-7 on the year. The Giants travel to Bunkie (Bunkie, LA) to clash with the Panthers in a 3A District 2 game on Thursday, March 14. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 7-7. Bunkie lost 10-9 in their recent league game against Marksville (Marksville, LA)

In their next game, the Crusaders clash with the Forest Bulldogs (Forest, LA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, March 12. Claiborne Christian will attempt to move on its 4-6 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 4-5 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Holy Savior Menard (Alexandria, LA).
