Spectators at Monday's league match between the Haughton Buccaneers (Haughton, LA) and the host Southwood Cowboys (Shreveport, LA), witnessed Haughton's softball squad prevail over Southwood by a count of 24-2.

The Buccaneers now sport a 10-8 record. They play next when they travel to Natchitoches Central for a 5A District 1 match on Thursday, March 14. Haughton will meet a Chiefs squad coming off a 12-8 league win over Parkway (Bossier City, LA). The Chiefs record now stands at 9-9.

With the loss, Southwood moves to 1-16 on the season. The Cowboys travel to Negreet (Negreet, LA) to meet the Indians in a non-league match on Friday, March 15. The Indians go into the match with a record of 3-7.
