North Carolina High School Softball - Mallard Creek bounces Hopewell

March 11, 2024: Huntersville, NC 28078

Spectators at Monday's league match between the Mallard Creek Mavericks (Charlotte, NC) and the host Hopewell Titans (Huntersville, NC), witnessed Mallard Creek's softball squad prevail over Hopewell by a count of 13-2.

The Mavericks now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they host North Mecklenburg for a Queen City 3A/4A match on Tuesday, March 12. Mallard Creek will face a Vikings squad coming off a 17-1 league loss to Hough (Cornelius, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Hopewell moves to 1-1 on the season. The Titans host West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC) to face the Lions in a Queen City 3A/4A match on Tuesday, March 12. The Lions go into the match with a record of 0-1. West Charlotte lost 16-1 in their recent league match against Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC)
