The Huntsville Hornets softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Klein Cain Hurricanes to 3 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Huntsville improves its record to 18-3 on the year. The Hornets travel to Lufkin (Lufkin, TX) to clash with the Panthers in a 5A Region II District 16 game on Tuesday, March 19. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 12-8. Lufkin lost 11-5 in their recent non-league game against A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX)

In their next game, the Hurricanes clash with the Waller Bulldogs (Waller, TX) in a 6A Region II District 15 game, on Friday, March 22. Klein Cain will attempt to improve on its 3-12 season record.
