The Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, IL) softball routed the visiting Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL), 10-5 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Minutemen (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Henry-Senachwine (Henry, IL). The Mallards go into the non-league bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Henry-Senachwine held off Princeville (Princeville, IL), 7-6, in a non-league bout.
The Crusaders now possess a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Kewanee for a non-league bout on Tuesday, March 12. Marquette will confront a Boilermakers squad coming off a 5-3 non-league win over LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL). The Boilermakers record now stands at 1-0.
