Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Welsh Greyhounds (Welsh, LA) and the host Oberlin Tigers (Oberlin, LA), witnessed Welsh's softball squad prevail over Oberlin by a count of 18-2.

The Greyhounds now sport a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Vinton for a 2A District 5 match on Tuesday, March 12. Welsh will meet a Lions squad coming off a 9-3 league loss to DeQuincy (DeQuincy, LA). The Lions record now stands at 5-11.

With the loss, Oberlin moves to 0-7 on the season. The Tigers travel to Gueydan (Gueydan, LA) to meet the Bears in a 1A District 5 match on Tuesday, March 12. The Bears go into the match with a record of 2-5. Gueydan lost 15-0 in their recent league match against Basile (Basile, LA)
