The Pineville Rebels baseball team scored 12 runs and held the host Winnfield Tigers to 2 in the Rebels non-league win on Tuesday.
The Rebels now hold a 8-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Neville for a 5A District 2 test on Thursday, March 13. Pineville will play a Tigers team coming off a 10-6 non-league loss to Sterlington (Sterlington, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 7-9.
With the defeat, Winnfield drops to 5-7 on the year. The Tigers host Lakeside (Sibley, LA) to play the Warriors in a test on Thursday, March 13. The Warriors go into the test with a record of 6-9. Lakeside lost 5-0 in their recent non-league test against D'Arbonne Woods (Farmerville, LA)
