The Point Arena Pirates baseball team scored 7 runs and held the host Upper Lake Cougars to 3 in the Pirates non-league win on Tuesday.
The Pirates now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Summerfield Waldorf for a non-league test on Monday, March 17. Point Arena will play a Mustangs team coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Victory Christian Academy (Santa Rosa, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-2.
With the defeat, Upper Lake drops to 2-2 on the year. The Cougars host Ferndale (Ferndale, CA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league test on Friday, March 14. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 0-0.
