Next, the Cougars face the South Paulding Spartans (Douglasville, GA) in a 5A Region 5 game, on Friday, March 14. Alexander will attempt to advance on its 7-2 season record. The Spartans come into the game with a 3-4 record after their 5-0 league loss to Rome (Rome, GA).

The Mustangs (3-4) will now prepare for their game against Lithia Springs (Lithia Springs, GA). The Lions come into the 5A Region 5 game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Lithia Springs was nipped by East Paulding (Dallas, GA), 10-0, in a league game.
