Alabama High School Soccer - Thompson knocks off Athens

Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Thompson Warriors (Alabaster, AL) and the visiting Athens Golden Eagles (Athens, AL), saw Thompson's soccer squad knock off Athens by a count of 3-0.
The Warriors (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against Prattville (Prattville, AL). The Lions enter the 7A Area 5 battle with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, Prattville by Smiths Station (Smiths, AL), 5-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Golden Eagles battle the Southside Panthers (Gadsden, AL) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, March 13. Athens will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 5-0 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Albertville (Albertville, AL).
