In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) soccer team edged the host Foard Tigers (Newton, NC), by a count of 1-0.
Next, the Pioneers battle the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, March 14. Watauga will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles enter the contest with a 0-3 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Hickory (Hickory, NC).
The Tigers (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, South Caldwell held off West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
