The Lowndes Vikings soccer squad scored 2 points and held the host Pierce County Bears to 0 in the Vikings non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Vikings now hold a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to LaGrange for a non-league bout on Friday, March 14. Lowndes will play a Grangers squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Trinity Christian (Sharpsburg, GA). The Grangers record now stands at 3-7.
With the loss, Pierce County moves to 5-4 on the year. The Bears host Crisp County (Cordele, GA) to play the Cougars in a 2A Region 3 bout on Friday, March 14. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 2-7. Crisp County lost 4-0 in their recent non-league bout against Tift County (Tifton, GA)
