With the triumph, Monroe Area moves its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Purple Hurricanes travel to Cherokee Bluff (Flowery Branch, GA) to meet the Bears in a 3A Region 8 match on Friday, March 14. The Bears come into the match with a record of 3-5. Cherokee Bluff lost 7-0 in their recent non-league match against Greater Atlanta Christian (Norcross, GA)

The Seminoles now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Miller Grove for a 2A Region 6 match on Thursday, March 13. Salem will meet a Wolverines team coming off a 1-0 league win over Columbia (Decatur, GA). The Wolverines record now stands at 5-2.
