Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the James Island Trojans (Charleston, SC) and the visiting Chapin Eagles (Chapin, SC), saw James Island's soccer squad hold off Chapin by a count of 2-1.
The Trojans (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Cardinal Newman (Columbia, SC). The Cardinals enter the non-league battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Cardinal Newman River Bluff (Lexington, SC), 2-2, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Eagles battle the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes (Irmo, SC) in a AAAAA Region 4 battle, on Friday, March 14. Chapin will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Silver Foxes enter the battle with a 5-1 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Saluda (Saluda, SC).
