In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Southside Sharks softball team scored a tight 11-6 win over the Lafayette Lions.
The Sharks (8-3) will now prepare for their match against Acadiana (Lafayette, LA). The Rams come into the 5A District 3 match with a 8-5 record. In their last match, Acadiana nipped Barbe (Lake Charles, LA), 14-1, in a league match.
In their next game, the Lions confront the Carencro Bears (Lafayette, LA) in a 5A District 3 match, on Thursday, March 13. Lafayette will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Bears come into the match with a 1-3 record after their 17-0 league loss to Sulphur (Sulphur, LA).
