In Tuesday's non-league test, the Zuni Thunderbirds (Zuni, NM) softball squad overwhelmed the host Navajo Pine Warriors (Navajo, NM), by a tally of 24-9.
Next, the Thunderbirds clash with the Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM) in a non-league test, on Thursday, March 13. Zuni will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Chieftains go into the test with a 0-1 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Grants (Grants, NM).
The Warriors (0-1) will now prepare for their test against Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM). The Cougars go into the non-league test with a 0-0 record.
