In Tuesday's league test, the Sam Houston Broncos (Lake Charles, LA) softball squad overwhelmed the host New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA), by a count of 16-0.

Next, the Broncos meet the Sulphur Golden Tors (Sulphur, LA) in a 5A District 3 test, on Thursday, March 13. Sam Houston will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Golden Tors go into the test with a 6-8 record after their 17-0 league win over Carencro (Lafayette, LA).

The Yellowjackets (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Barbe (Lake Charles, LA). The Buccaneers go into the 5A District 3 test with a 7-4 record. In their last test, Barbe was routed by Acadiana (Lafayette, LA), 14-1, in a league test.
