In Tuesday's non-league test, the Ocean Springs Greyhounds (Ocean Springs, MS) softball squad the host Newton County Cougars (Decatur, MS), by a count of 18-15.
Next, the Greyhounds meet the Harrison Central Red Rebels (Gulfport, MS) in a 7A Region 4 test, on Thursday, March 13. Ocean Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Red Rebels go into the test with a 3-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Grenada (Grenada, MS).
The Cougars (8-5) will now prepare for their test against Leake Central (Carthage, MS). The Gators go into the 4A Region 4 test with a 0-5 record.
