With the win, Poteet upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Pirates travel to Highland Park (Dallas, TX) to battle the Scots in a 5A Region II District 13 test on Tuesday, March 15. The Scots come into the test with a record of 8-2. Highland Park won 7-6 in their recent non-league test against Sachse (Sachse, TX)

With the defeat, Lamar falls to 4-6 on the season. The Vikings travel to DeSoto (DeSoto, TX) to battle the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, March 12. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 3-2.
