In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Monta Vista Matadors volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the St. Ignatius Wildcats.

The Matadors (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory (San Francisco, CA). The Fightin' Irish come into the non-league battle with a 4-6 record. In their last battle, Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory achieved victory over Lowell (San Francisco, CA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Wildcats clash with the Moreau Catholic Mariners (Hayward, CA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, March 12. St. Ignatius will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Mariners come into the battle with a 4-4 record after their 3-0 league win over James Logan (Union City, CA).
