Holden Rockets (Holden, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Caldwell Parish Spartans (Columbia, LA), 17-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Rockets now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Parkview Baptist for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 15. Holden will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Assumption (Napoleonville, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Caldwell Parish falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Destrehan (Destrehan, LA) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 12. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 5-0. Destrehan won 4-3 in their recent league challenge against Terrebonne (Houma, LA)
