Roosevelt Mustangs (Eastvale, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Canyon Comanches (Anaheim, CA), 6-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they host Corona for a Big VIII challenge on Wednesday, March 16. Roosevelt will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Sultana (Hesperia, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 11-4.

With the loss, Canyon falls to 8-2 on the campaign. The Comanches host El Modena (Orange, CA) to battle the Vanguards in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 15. The Vanguards enter the challenge with a record of 3-7. El Modena won 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Millikan (Long Beach, CA)
