Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Cleveland Storm (Rio Rancho, NM), 12-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Cavemen now sport a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host Artesia for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 15. Carlsbad will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Centennial (Las Cruces, NM). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Cleveland falls to 7-2 on the campaign. The Storm host Farmington (Farmington, NM) to face the Scorpions in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 25. The Scorpions enter the challenge with a record of 2-0. Farmington won 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Silver (Silver City, NM)
