The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Cienega Bobcats (Vail, AZ) and the host Corona del Sol Aztecs (Tempe, AZ), saw Cienega's softball squad nip Corona del Sol by a count of 9-4.

The Bobcats now sport a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Canyon View for a non-league match on Saturday, March 12. Cienega will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over La Mirada (La Mirada, CA). The Jaguars record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Corona del Sol falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Aztecs host Cesar Chavez (Laveen, AZ) to face the Champions in a non-league match on Tuesday, March 15. The Champions enter the match with a record of 4-1. Cesar Chavez won 24-1 in their recent non-league match against Westview (Avondale, AZ)
