Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA), 12-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Green Wave now own a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pine for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 12.
With the loss, Pope John Paul II falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to St. Thomas Aquinas (Hammond, LA) to face the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 15. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 0-5. St. Thomas Aquinas lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Academy of Our Lady (Marrero, LA)
