Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting West Cabarrus Wolverines (Concord, NC), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Patriots confront the Providence Panthers (Charlotte, NC) in a Southwestern 4A challenge, on Thursday, March 14. Independence will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC).

The Wolverines now have a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwest Cabarrus for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 13. West Cabarrus will confront a Trojans team coming off a 10-1 league win over Robinson (Concord, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 1-0.
