With the triumph, La Costa Canyon improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Patrick Henry (San Diego, CA) to clash with the Patriots in a non-league game on Monday, March 18. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 2-4.

In their next game, the Highlanders clash with the San Marcos Knights (San Marcos, CA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, March 14. Helix will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Knights come into the game with a 4-1 record after their 9-6 non-league win over Rancho Buena Vista (Vista, CA).
