Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Belle Chasse Cardinals (Belle Chasse, LA) and the host Academy of Our Lady Penguins (Marrero, LA), witnessed Belle Chasse's softball squad tip Academy of Our Lady by a count of 8-3.

The Cardinals now sport a 7-4 record. They play next when they host Landry for a 4A District 10 match on Thursday, March 14.

With the loss, Academy of Our Lady moves to 9-5 on the season. The Penguins travel to L.W. Higgins (Marrero, LA) to meet the Hurricanes in a 4A District 10 match on Wednesday, March 13. The Hurricanes go into the match with a record of 1-8. L.W. Higgins won 19-4 in their recent league match against New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (New Orleans, LA)
