Atkins Red Devils (Atkins, AR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Perryville Mustangs (Perryville, AR), 14-2 in a league challenge.

The Red Devils now own a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they host Maumelle Charter for a 3A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, March 26.

With the loss, Perryville falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Harmony Grove (Benton, AR) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 14. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Harmony Grove lost 9-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Baptist Prep (Little Rock, AR)
