The Barbe Buccaneers softball team scored 10 runs and limited the host New Iberia Yellowjackets to 0 in the Buccaneers league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Barbe moves its record to 10-10 on the year. The Buccaneers travel to Sulphur (Sulphur, LA) to clash with the Golden Tors in a 5A District 3 game on Thursday, March 14. The Golden Tors come into the game with a record of 13-3. Sulphur won 6-4 in their recent league game against Southside (Youngsville, LA)

In their next game, the Yellowjackets clash with the Carencro Bears (Lafayette, LA) in a 5A District 3 game, on Wednesday, March 13. New Iberia will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Bears come into the game with a 0-5 record after their 11-0 league loss to Lafayette (Lafayette, LA).
