The Iowa Yellowjackets softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Bell City Bruins to 7 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Tuesday.

With the triumph, Iowa moves its record to 14-3 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to South Beauregard (Longville, LA) to clash with the Knights in a 3A District 3 game on Thursday, March 14. The Knights come into the game with a record of 6-11. South Beauregard won 13-3 in their recent non-league game against Rayne (Rayne, LA)

In their next game, the Bruins clash with the Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 13. Bell City will attempt to move on its 8-4 season record. The Pirates come into the game with a 14-2 record after their 10-0 non-league win over David Thibodaux (Lafayette, LA).
