Greenwood Gators (Bowling Green, KY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Central Hardin Bruins (Cecilia, KY), 8-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Gators now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Wilson Central for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 16. Greenwood will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Siegel (Murfreesboro, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Central Hardin falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Oldham County (Buckner, KY) to face the Colonels in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 14. The Colonels enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Oldham County won 17-13 in their recent non-league challenge against Anderson County (Lawrenceburg, KY)
