North Carolina High School Softball - Swansboro holds off East Carteret

March 12, 2024: Beaufort, NC 28516

Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC) and the host East Carteret Mariners (Beaufort, NC), witnessed Swansboro's softball squad tip East Carteret by a count of 7-5.

The Pirates now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to West Craven for a non-league match on Thursday, March 14. Swansboro will face a Eagles squad coming off a 10-8 league win over Ayden - Grifton (Ayden, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 1-5.

With the loss, East Carteret moves to 2-3 on the season. The Mariners travel to Southside (Chocowinity, NC) to face the Seahawks in a Coastal Plains 1A/2A match on Tuesday, March 19. The Seahawks go into the match with a record of 2-2.
