The L.W. Higgins Hurricanes routed the visiting New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy Bulldogs softball squad by a final score of 19-4 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Hurricanes (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against Academy of Our Lady (Marrero, LA). The Penguins go into the 4A District 10 battle with a 9-5 record. In their last battle, Academy of Our Lady was routed by Belle Chasse (Belle Chasse, LA), 8-3, in a league battle.
