Round Valley Elks (Eagar, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Payson Longhorns (Payson, AZ), 13-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Elks now own a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage Academy for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 13. Round Valley will face a Heroes squad coming off a 15-14 non-league loss to Santa Cruz Valley (Eloy, AZ). The Heroes record now stands at 9-1.

With the loss, Payson falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Longhorns host Northwest Christian (Phoenix, AZ) to face the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 13. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Northwest Christian won 18-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Gilbert Christian (Gilbert, AZ)
