The San Diego Vaqueros (San Diego, TX) baseball trounced the visiting Mathis Pirates (Mathis, TX), 12-2 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

The Vaqueros now own a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they host Odem for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 13. San Diego will clash with a Owls team coming off a 10-3 non-league win over Kaufer (Riviera, TX). The Owls record now stands at 8-6.

With the defeat, Mathis drops to 4-10 on the year. The Pirates travel to Odem (Odem, TX) to play the Owls in a 3A Region IV District 29 test on Friday, March 21. The Owls go into the test with a record of 8-7.
