Memorial Mavericks (Wichita Falls, TX) backers left the game pleased Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Archer City Wildcats (Archer City, TX), 5-0 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Memorial upgrades its record to 11-12 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Abilene (Abilene, TX) to play the Eagles in a 5A Region I District 4 game on Tuesday, March 18. The Eagles enter the game with a record of 7-7.

The Wildcats now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Petrolia for a 1A Region II District 9 game on Thursday, March 13.
