In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Port Aransas Marlins softball team scored a nice 16-5 victory over the Pettus Eagles.

The Marlins (10-8) will now prepare for their match against Woodsboro (Woodsboro, TX). The Eagles go into the non-league match with a 14-3 record. In their last match, Woodsboro gained a win over Skidmore-Tynan (Skidmore, TX), 5-2, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Kenedy Lions (Kenedy, TX) in a match, on Tuesday, March 18. Pettus will attempt to better on its 1-9 season record. The Lions go into the match with a 12-6 record after their 18-9 league loss to Refugio (Refugio, TX).
