The Grenada Chargers baseball team scored 11 runs and held the host Newton County Cougars to 4 in the Chargers non-league win on Thursday.
The Chargers now hold a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they host Starkville for a non-league test on Saturday, March 14. Grenada will battle a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 11-2 non-league loss to Jackson Academy (Jackson, MS). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 8-6.
The Cougars (5-9) will now prepare for their outing against Pisgah (Sandhill, MS). The Dragons come into the non-league outing with a 11-2 record. In their last outing, Pisgah was overwhelmed by Mize (Mize, MS), 7-4, in a non-league outing.
