Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting South Rowan Raiders (China Grove, NC), 5-4 in a non-league test.

With the win, Piedmont upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to Anson (Wadesboro, NC) to battle the Bearcats in a non-league test on Friday, March 17. The Bearcats come into the test with a record of 1-5. Anson lost 25-1 in their recent non-league test against South Stanly (Norwood, NC)

With the defeat, South Rowan falls to 1-4 on the season. The Raiders travel to Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC) to battle the Vikings in a South Piedmont 3A test on Tuesday, March 14. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 1-1. Central Cabarrus won 10-0 in their recent non-league test against A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC)
